Victim of his own anger, the child (Prince) is a minneapolis musician increasing with his band, The Revolution, who escapes a tumultuous domestic life through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his Truculele father (Clarence Williams III), the child navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with an attractive singer, Apollonia (Apollonia Kotero). But another musician, Morris (Morris Day), tries to steal the baby’s spotlight – and his girlfriend.
